The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation was proud to take part in the 5th Annual CPR + AED Awareness Rally & March in Washington, D.C.—an inspiring weekend filled with connection, advocacy, and heartfelt momentum for lifesaving change.
Hosted by Ed Kosiec, leader of Every Second Counts CPR and SCAF board member, the event brought together survivor families, advocates, partners, and heart champions from across the country. Representing the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation were Gina Peattie, SCAF Executive Director, advisory council member Janese Nichols, and SCAF board members JoAnne Taylor Babbitt, Lee Nathans, and Ankur Doshi, MD.
Over the course of three powerful days, participants raised awareness about the importance of CPR training and AED access, hosted CPR and AED demonstrations, shared personal stories of survivals and loss, engaged with the public through outreach and education, and strengthened the network of organizations committed to saving lives from sudden cardiac arrest.
We’re deeply grateful to Ed for organizing this impactful event, and to all the passionate individuals who made it such a meaningful experience. Our hearts are full—and more committed than ever to our mission.
