Turn Your Passion Into Lifesaving Action
Every day, sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) changes lives without warning. But together, we can change the outcome. When you fundraise for the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation (SCAF), you help raise awareness, support families, train bystanders, and fuel programs that save lives.
Ways to Fundraise
There are many ways to make an impact! Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Peer-to-Peer Fundraising
Peer-to-peer fundraising is one of the most impactful ways you can support the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation. When you create a personal fundraising page and invite your friends, family, and networks to contribute, you amplify awareness while raising critical funds.
We currently offer three meaningful ways to get involved through peer-to-peer fundraising:
Celebrate 20 Years of Lifesaving Work
Join our 20th Anniversary Campaign by starting a personal fundraiser in honor of SCAF’s two decades of impact. Set your own goal, share your story, and help us build momentum for the next 20 years.
Hearts Honored and Remembered Program
Create a tribute fundraiser in memory of someone lost to sudden cardiac arrest or in celebration of a survivor or rescuer/responder. Your page can help raise awareness, honor a life, and support others.
Be Ready to Respond
Lead a Ready to Respond fundraiser to support CPR and AED awareness, training events, or outreach in your school or community. Great for HEART Champions, students, educators, community members, or anyone who wants to empower others to act.
Please also refer to our quick-start guide to set up your page.
It’s easy to get started with our platform—just set your goal, customize your page with photos, share your story, and start fundraising. We’ll provide the tools and support to help you succeed every step of the way.
Host Your Own Fundraising Event
Whether it’s a workplace event, a school campaign, a neighborhood walk, a bake sale or trivia night, hosting an event is a fun and meaningful way to engage your community. The creative possibilities are endless!
We can help you plan a successful event with:
- Flyers and promotional templates
- Outreach and invitation language
- Educational materials about SCA, CPR, and AEDs
SCAF offers event ideas, planning, tips and guidance.
Please reach out to info [at] sca-aware.org to let us know your plans so we can support you!
Support SCAF’s "$20 for 20 Years" Campaign with a Donation
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation. To celebrate, we’re inviting supporters like you to give $20 (or more!) to help us continue our lifesaving work for the next 20 years. After you donate, invite 20 friends to do the same!
This campaign is simple, powerful, and meaningful—and every gift matters.
Why It Matters
Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is one of the leading causes of death outside hospitals—and survival depends on immediate action. Your support helps SCAF:
- Expand education, outreach and awareness campaigns
- Train and support community leaders through programs like HEART Champions
- Support survivors and families through the Cardiac Arrest Survivor Alliance
- Recognize heroes and raise national awareness
- Inspire others to take action
Every dollar raised brings us closer to a world where more people survive. Thank you for being a part of this mission.
Stay Connected. Stay Involved Year-Round.
Looking for more ways to make a difference?
In addition to the options above, the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation offers other opportunities throughout the year to raise awareness, take action, and support our mission. From national training initiatives and awareness months to volunteer opportunities and special projects, there are many ways to get involved based on your interests, skills, and schedule.
20 Ways to Support & Engage
We’ve created a helpful guide, “20 Ways to Support & Engage,” to celebrate our 20th anniversary and give you ideas for how to support lifesaving work in your community—whether you have 5 minutes or 5 hours to give.
