Mrs. Jana Bonassi, 38-years-old, from Winter Garden Florida, was crowned the 2024 Mrs. Florida American at the annual Mrs. Florida Pageant held on May 19th at the West Gate Resort. The delegates competed in three areas of competition including interview, swimsuit, and evening gown. This is the third year of the Mrs. Florida American pageant, the sister pageant to Mrs. Florida America, directed by David and Jackie Siegle.
Celebrating the occasion with Jana along with her family and friends—including her husband Ricardo and two daughters Stella and Giovanna—were former Mrs. Florida America’s and Mrs. Florida American’s who welcomed Jana into this elite group of exceptional women who have come before her.
“The gift and honor of receiving my state crown has pressed upon my heart a compelling mission to give back, as a thank you to the universe for giving me a second chance in life. As a survivor of cardiac arrest, living with a pacemaker and defibrillator, fully aware of the fragility of life, I've been touched to show every person I meet that their life matters, that they are loved, needed, wanted, and can make a positive impact in the world.’’
Jana will be competing at the 5th annual Mrs. American pageant, August 27, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada among 51 women who are vying to win the coveted title of Mrs. American 2024. The winner of Mrs. American will go on to compete at the next Mrs. World pageant.
“In light of Jana Bonassi’s platform to promote CPR and AED education, especially in schools, we are honored to name her Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation Ambassador,” said Mary Newman, SCAF president.
