We are thrilled to welcome Heather Freligh as the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation’s first Youth Ambassador.
Heather is a sudden cardiac arrest survivor, student-athlete, and passionate youth advocate. At age 13, she experienced sudden cardiac arrest in her classroom and survived thanks to the quick actions of her classmates, school principal, and trained responders. Since then, she has become a strong voice for heart health, CPR, and AED access, sharing her story locally, statewide, and nationally.
In her role as Youth Ambassador, Heather will help share SCAF’s lifesaving message with schools and youth, inspiring students, educators, and families to learn about CPR, AEDs, and emergency preparedness. Heather also serves as a SCAF H.E.A.R.T. Champion and will help expand the program to engage more youth and reach schools and students with lifesaving education and awareness.
“I’m honored to serve in the role of Youth Ambassador, share my story, and use my voice to reach other students. I want to show young people that they can make a difference, learn lifesaving skills like CPR and AED use, and help their school communities be ready to respond in an emergency.” — Heather Freligh
