The Smart Heart Sports Coalition is proud to launch the “AEDs for Youth” program, offering new automated external defibrillators (AEDs), essential accessories and device management support to all K-12 schools as well as youth sports organizations across the country at substantial discounts. In collaboration with leading AED companies Coro Medical and Avive Solutions, Inc., the program aims to broadly expand access to this life-saving equipment and protect students and young athletes of all ages from fatalities resulting from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), a leading cause of death of young people. Eligibility

  • All primary and secondary (K-12) public and private schools.
  • All youth sports organizations serving children up to and including age 17.
  • Participating schools and youth sports organizations must submit documentation/information verifying their status.
  • There is no minimum or maximum purchase requirements for schools or youth sports organizations to participate in the program. 

AED options

  • All FDA-approved AEDs are available for purchase at significant discounts ranging from 20 to 60 percent. 
  • Schools and youth sports programs can purchase an AED as part of a bundle that includes device management support and essential accessories such as signage, wall cabinets, and replacement batteries.  
  • The bundles are tailored for different settings: “AED school bundles” for indoor settings, such as classrooms and cafeterias, and an “AED athletic bundles” for outdoor settings, such as outdoor tracks and athletic fields.
  • As part of these bundles, schools and youth sports programs also can access discounts on AED and CPR training from expert instructors from the American Heart Association and American Red Cross..
  • Coro Medical and Avive also have replacement and trade-in options for schools and youth sports programs looking to upgrade their current AEDs with new models and add more AEDs to their facilities.
