Michael C. Reed, MD, is an interventional cardiologist at the International Heart Institute of St. Patrick’s Hospital Providence. Dr. Reed attended University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate studies where he received a Bachelors Degree in English and Premedicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He went on to attend the University of Washington Medical School and then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Medical School. Dr. Reed was then chief resident for the year to follow after which he attended the University of Michigan for both general and interventional cardiology fellowship training.
Dr. Reed focuses on structural heart intervention including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), percutaneous mitral valve repair with MitraClip, and advanced percutaneous defect closure. He also performs high-volume transradial percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for elective cases, acute coronary syndromes, and complex high-risk PCI.
Dr. Reed is a father to three young daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family in his native Montana, playing soccer, going on trail runs and competing in triathlons.
