PITTSBURGH--For the third year in a row, the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation will be participating in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. This year's 5K Walk will take place on Saturday, May 18 at State AE on Pittsburgh's North Shore.

The Highmark Walk is a fundraiser that benefits local health and human services agencies in Western Pennsylvania, including the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation. Highmark underwrites the cost of the walk so that 100 percent of the money raised by walkers and virtual walkers goes directly to participating nonprofit organizations.

KDKA TV News Anchor and sudden cardiac arrest survivor Susan Koeppen will be leading the Foundation's team again this year. Please mark Saturday, May 18 on your calendar and start gathering friends, family members, and co-workers to join you in walking to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest. Let's work together to raise awareness about the nation's leading cause of death.
