Join or support the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation team at the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community in Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday, May 12th.

Today is World Health Day. You are invited to celebrate this global day of health awareness by supporting the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation team at the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. The annual event, scheduled for May 12th in Pittsburgh, is underwritten by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, so all funds raised go directly participating nonprofits.

Why support our team? We are working to raise awareness about Sudden Cardiac Arrest and help save lives. Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. It affects more than 356,000 people outside hospitals each year, including 7,000 children. Unfortunately, only one victim in 10 survives. But survival rates could double or triple if people nearby responded quickly by calling 911, giving CPR, and using the nearest automated external defibrillator to restore a normal heartbeat.

There are three easy ways to help bring attention to our life-saving mission:
1 - Donate directly.
2 - Donate to a participant or team.
3 - Register for the walk.

Join us as we celebrate lives saved, remember lives lost, and help build a future in which survival from Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the rule, rather than the exception. Thanks for your support!

P. S. You do not need to be in Pittsburgh to support our team.
