Entries due June 1st

The SCA Foundation has announced a video contest for students interested in raising awareness about sudden cardiac arrest. Winners will receive automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for their schools. Here's how it works:

  • Assign teams of students to write, film, star in and edit their own short  (3–5 minute) video promoting the importance of knowing how to do CPR and use an AED.
  • Indicate whether you would like to enter the Elementary School Category, Secondary (Junior/Senior High) School Category, or College Category.
  • The SCA Foundation panel of judges will review videos for overall message, creativity, originality and technical accuracy.
  • Finalists for all categories will be posted on the SCA Foundation’s website and its YouTube Channel and promoted to schools nationwide.

Applications are due June 1st. Ten winners will be selected. Ten AEDs, donated by Cardiac Science and ZOLL Medical Corporation, both sponsors of the You Can Save a Life at School(TM) awareness campaign, will be given away. Runner-up prizes include Nintendo Wii game systems and gift cards from iTunes and several popular clothing and sporting goods vendors.
