This past fall, the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation-Oregon Affiliate, led by Katherine and Joshua Lupton, MD, and Mohamud Daya, MD, held their first survivor meet-up. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, this was a virtual meetup of survivors and their families. Attendees were able to share with one another their stories of survival and recovery. SCAF-Oregon plans to continue to hold survivor meetups as part of its mission to help support survivors, increase awareness, and improve survival from sudden cardiac arrest.
