Public Survivor Celebration and CPR Training to be Held in Philadelphia

Public survivor celebration and CPR training to kick-off the global American Heart Association Resuscitation Science Symposium

As a special event to welcome international visitors to Philadelphia for the annual meeting of leaders in CPR science, a public survivor celebration and CPR training event will take place on Friday, November 15 from 3:00-5:00 pm at the Philadelphia City Hall. The event will feature presentations from survivors, a welcome from City Council leaders, a live musical performance from a Villanova a capella group, refreshments, a public CPR training demonstration, and fellowship among people who care about survival from cardiac arrest. The event is sponsored by the Resuscitation Science Symposium local planning committee, in conjunction with the American Heart Association, Philadelphia City Council and other partners. The mission of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Foundation is to prevent death and disability from sudden cardiac arrest. The vision of the SCA Foundation is to increase awareness about sudden cardiac arrest and influence attitudinal and behavioral changes that will reduce mortality and morbidity from SCA.
