New Call-Push-Shock video aims to increase bystander action

CALL-PUSH-SHOCK, a national educational campaign co-sponsored by Parent Heart Watch and the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, is designed to motivate bystanders to call 911, give CPR and use AEDs (automated external defibrillators) in cases of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. About 50 organizations have joined the campaign since it was launched in June 2018.

The collaborative recently developed a new inspirational video designed to educate the public about how anyone can save a life. It features individuals (not actors) who have been personally affected by sudden cardiac arrest.

Bystander intervention makes a critical difference in the odds of increasing survival rates for sudden cardiac arrest victims. Research shows that once the public understands that their actions could mean the difference between life and death, they are willing to Call-Push-Shock.

In addition to Parent Heart Watch and the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, the organizations that supported the development of this video are: Aidan's Heart Foundation, Buddy CPR, Championship Hearts Foundation, Lion Heart Heroes Foundation, CemsCpr, Starting Hearts, The Adam L Thompson Foundation, Every Second Counts CPR, CPR it Works, Cardiac Science, Eric Paredes Save A Life Foundation, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association, and Anthony Bates Foundation.
