ECCU 2014

The Emergency Cardiovascular Care Update (ECCU) is the premier venue that brings together every link in the “chain of survival” for the nation’s most lethal killer: sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). ECCU 2014 will be held at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino June 3-6, 2014. Survivors play an important role at the conference where a special track takes place entitled, “Community: Prepare, Respond, Survive and Thrive!” It is here that patient advocates, healthcare professionals and emergency responders engage with survivors in a broader dialogue to better understand, prevent and respond to SCA across the country.

Sessions will include: scientific updates on new advances in emergency response, preventing and treating SCA in youth; CPR and AED in the schools; status of legislation; athlete SCA prevention programs, and more.

ECCU is hosted by the Citizen CPR Foundation (CCPRF), a non-profit organization with the mission to save lives from sudden death by stimulating citizen and community action. Its founding partners are the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation is assisting with development of sessions for survivors and families and sessions related to SCA in youth.
