Katherine Palermo P.E. and Health Teacher and Carol MacDonald School Nurse are certified AHA BLS instructors at Rock Hill School in Wallingford, Connecticut.
Michael Papale was our inspiration to become BLS Instructors and certify 100% of our teaching staff. Our staff volunteered their time and jumped on board after Michael and his mom, Joan, spoke at a faculty meeting. We also decided to train our 5th grade students this year in honor of National CPR week. To kick off National CPR Week on June 1st, we will have an all school assembly to honor all the members of our learning community who have realized the importance of knowing CPR and having AED's in schools and public facilities.
