The SCA Foundation, a nonprofit organization, has been established to help increase awareness about this public health crisis and reduce death and disability from SCA, through our website and other initiatives.
SCA Foundation Launches New Website
The Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Foundation is pleased to announce it has launched a new website. Not only does it have a great new look, it is also rich in content and offers an online community and opportunities for blogging. The new website also makes it easy to share articles with a friend. Winner of People Saving People™ Award to be Announced at ECCU
The winner of the inaugural People Saving People™ will be announced at the Emergency Cardiac Care Update conference in Las Vegas on June 15 (www.citizencpr.org). The SCA Foundation initiated the award program to honor “ordinary” people with extraordinary heroic spirits who help save the lives of victims of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA)
SCA Foundation Announces You Can Save a Life™ National SCA Awareness Campaign for Schools
The SCA Foundation, in cooperation with The RedFlash Group, has announced a national awareness campaign targeted to schools that will include development of a mini-magazine, micro-site and ad campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) among students, teachers, parents and others in the school community, motivate schools to identify at-risk students and develop effective CPR-AED programs, and help save more lives. Hands-Only CPR Gets a Push

One year ago, the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation launched the SCA Survivor Registry™, the nation’s first online registry for people who suffered sudden cardiac arrest (SCA)—and lived to tell about it. Information submitted by 171 registrants offers a glimpse into the small community of rare individuals who beat the odds and survived this national killer...

First Ever CPR-AED Awareness Week A Great Success!
Congress set aside June 1-7 as the first annual National CPR/AED Awareness Week to spotlight how lives can be saved if more Americans know CPR and how to use an AED. In the declaration, Congress asked states and municipalities to make AEDs more publicly accessible. To recognize the event, CPR/AED classes, demonstrations and events were held in communities across the nation.
