The DER II Foundation will be hosting its 3rd Annual Daniel Eric Rumph II Basketball Tournament taking place at the Daniel E. Rumph Recreation Center formally Mallery Recreation Center (located at 100 E. Johnson St) on July 31st through August 3rd.

The Daniel E. Rumph Foundation's mission is to raise awareness and provide screening for Hypertrophy Cardiomyopathy in order to prevent sudden cardiac arrest among young people. The Foundation has partnered with Cardiac Science, Inc to achieve our mission of providing Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to Philadelphia PAL Centers, Philadelphia Recreation Centers, Boys and Girls Clubs and other Public Entities.

Daniel Rumph Foundation would like to offer you the opportunity to help support the 3rd annual "Save the Next Bright Star" tournament. We are hoping to purchase 3 defibrillators with the money raised from this year's tournament. Sponsorship opportunities are available on an array of different levels. All proceeds will go towards helping to place AED's in Philadelphia's Recreation Centers. Extensive training on how to use and maintain the device will also be provided along with CPR training. The DER II Foundation conducts CPR training's every other month at different Recreation Centers in the Philadelphia area.
